God Dead? Alive? A sense of self-actualization?
A quality or state of being that one can evolve to?

Would make for a pretty small God wouldn't it! Sounds more like wishful thinking. If that was all that God was why would you want to be one anyway? Let me tell you what a real God looks like:

He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:2-3 NIV)

That sounds like a God who is big enough to be considered a real God.

What would a God big enough to create all things be like? Would He care about you and me?

God not only cares, He loves us!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.     (John 3:16-17 NIV)

Would you like to get to know this God?

Unfortunately, none of us are worthy of a relationship with such a Mighty, Loving, and Holy, God. However, the good news is that God has provided a way for us to be reunited with Him. He sent His son, Jesus, from his heavenly throne to live and walk among us. Jesus lived a perfect life. He never failed God, the Father. Then He took our punishment for us by dying in our place. Because He was God, born in human flesh, and because He was sinless or without fault, His death, the death of the Son of God, was sufficient to pay the price of all sins for all time.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8-9 NIV)

God does not promise to take away all problems. He promises to go through them with us. He does not promise to make us successful in the ways or terms of the world. He promises to fill us with His very own Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only thing that can fill that emptiness or longing deep inside each one of us.

Would you like to begin that relationship right now? Pray! Ask God to reveal to you the ways that you have fallen short of His perfection. Then ask Him to forgive you. Ask him to fill you with His Spirit that you may begin to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Ask Him to touch your heart and reveal Himself to your Spiritual eyes that you may know Him. Then thank Him for His grace, mercy and love.

Welcome to the Christian Family.

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Gal 3:26-27 NIV)

Find a church, talk to the pastor and tell Him you have prayed and asked Jesus to forgive you. Then attend the church of your choice this Sunday and Worship God the Father, Son, and Spirit!
